There is a beautiful Bible passage my dad found. My dad is a writer for the Toledo Free Press and he recently wrote a piece about the anti-gay Chick-Fil-A. In the piece he mentioned that it isn't fair that he can marry and have a wife, but my aunt who is a lesbian cannot. They shared the parents and lived under the same house and yet they don't have the same civil rights. In the piece my dad also compared the anti-gay protesting now to the segregation protests in Mississippi in the 60's. So here is the passage that he found to demonstrate that people are just ignorant and they only hate because its what they were told is best. “Anyone who claims to be in the light but hates a brother or sister is still in the darkness. Anyone who loves their brother and sister lives in the light, and there is nothing in them to make them stumble. But anyone who hates a brother or sister is in the darkness and walks around in the darkness. They do not know where they are going, because the darkness has blinded them.” —- 1 John 2:9-11
