I think your on the right track baby! here's a couple ideas. Maybe there could be some kind of metallic corset made of straps that could have hooks on them that keep the hair in place? Also. Ever heard of Lady Godiva or Samson in the bible? If I were to design a performance of hair, I would combine the two stories and sprinkle a little bit of my own.
