Who else want the Gaga/Madonna hate put to an end.

I eally don't appreciate the hatred towards Gaga or Madonna I think it is blowing way out of proportion and unnecessarily like that other musicians before Gaga had extremely blatant similarities to Madonna and they weren't judge or criticised so why is Gaga so different? I guess maybe Little Monsters made the 20/20 interview bigger deal and Madonna fans that are suppose to be more mature took it a little bit tto seriously.. But I'd really like it to stop it is making angry at Gaga and Madonna when it's not their fault.. I don't wanna have to change my favourite musicians cause of a silly war.

what bothers me is how Madonna is milking this thing. I was always a Madonna fan, but recently, she's been real bitter towards Gaga. I think she feels threatened that her throne may be taken by Gaga. Madonna is trying so hard to stay relevent, trashing on Gaga and flashing her boob, etc. she just wants to be queen just to be the queen, but, I don't think Gaga realy cares about being the queen, she just wants her art to speak for itself. I think if it was up to Gaga, she would be willing to share the throne with Madonna, but Madonna is only looking out for her attention seeking self.

this shit about Kill The Bitch...it's not cool. Madonna has dug a hole for herself with the negative commentary and hshe is not conducting her shows threspect either. Look to Gaga for role model and igbe happy in your values

Madonna is an inspiration for Lady Gaga and I think she is very upset with things that Madonna talks about her. If I become famous one day and say that Gaga is my greatest inspiration and she says that everything I do is to copy her, I would be devastated

I am not a Madonna fan at all I don't really like her but I don't see why people go out of their way to hate her. I think its okay to voice your opinion but some people go too far. People should focus more on loving Gaga and not hating Madonna.

I have never liked Madonna and liked her even less after said interview, but it is going a little far now. And what annoyed me the most about Madonna was how she was about BTW, when her songs aren't 100% original. Take for instance her song Hung Up, the beginning bit is a sample of Gimmie Gimmie Gimmie from Abba!

I remember the SNL that Lady Gaga & Madonna starred in. I also remember that they seemed to really enjoy each other. Gaga herself stated that Madonna was an inspiration to her, but I completely get why Monster's are upset by Gaga's work being called "reductive". I wasn't pleased with it myself & do not think it was a mature way to handle the situation, but if we start slamming the hate word around and eluding to Madonna needing to be knocked off, we are acting in a way that goes completely against the message that our idol is trying to spread. When I listen to Gaga's music or look at her pictures, I think of things such as kindness, empathy, compassion, acceptance, strength, wisdom, etc; Truth be known I could list a thousand reasons this woman means so much to me. If we truly love Lady Gaga & want to follow her message then we need to live by the ideals we claim to support. Hatred & slander are not what Gaga preaches. Her response to the "reductive" statement was a very classy way to go about standing up for herself. Remember what she said Little Monster's: "We are not in that place anymore, there is no need to put people down.I don't feel good when I belittle anyone. I don't feel good when I make someone feel bad about themselves. Its not relevant anymore to be hateful about equality." -Lady Gaga

i love them both (though i prefer gaga) and i will see madonna on sunday and gaga at the end of august in finland. tbh i'm tired of this stupid catfight. i believe one of the reasons why gaga receives such a blacklash is that she really is doing what madonna did back then; shock, cause controversy, push the limits and do whatever you want and she's doing it untamed (no offence but britney back then was pretty tame compared to madonna and gaga. i'm britney fan as well) meanwhile she's doing it in her own way,

They are both amazing artists, both of whose music have inspired generations past, generations present, and generations to come. I definitely think that this should all stop. And soon.

I totally agree. The are two entirely different artists. It just so happens that I favor Lady Gaga. Yeah, forget this competition stuff. It's a waste of energy.

I agree. Why is it a competition? Both are great in their own right and I think Madonna experimented with some adventurous techniques, pushing the limits of the public view, that in turn has allowed Gaga to become successful in her individual art. We should respect the both of them separately. And for goodness sake, Madonna is over 50 years old. I don't really think there is any real competition between these two icons.
