Questioning is the first step to realization

I don't know if anyone else has realized this, but being a total devoted addict to this site- I have noticed a couple of things. Though this is a site for all little monsters to have a safe social way of contacting each other to be free, with no prejudice and judging of any sorts- but the more I think about "Born This Way" I think of being yourself. Essentially what makes us the same is that we are all different. We post a hell of a a lot of Gaga, and don't get me wrong... I fucking love and admire that so much. As we are Gaga's religion, she puts everyone in a position to be themselves with no fear. But my biggest realization is the inspiration we have to blossom into our own characters. Meaning, I see so many Gaga impersonation's that it's hard to see the innovative parts of people. And, I don't need to offend anyone. Because you all are beautiful! But my main point is, to question yourself, are you really being yourself? I always catch myself trying to be like Gaga, I was even telling my dad "I wish there was a class called Gaga, so it can be my career" But it pulls away from the inner struggle of truly being myself. Everything is an inner struggle at one point, it's really up to us to pull through. And I think that's Gaga's main purpose for us- For all of us to pull through and be ourselves through any situation.

What you are talking about here is a very important issue. It is in realm of: being and becoming... This is what the GaGa ethos stands for. It is aligns with the original sense of the American Dream in the sense of: "attaining the fullest stature which YOU are innately capable" but this differs very much from a sense of simply "having", which is a much more materialistic understanding of aims and purposes. In order to become however, one must cast off the external pressure to "have" and look within, this is difficult work simply because there is a very real world out there that is vicious and requires money, time, attention and energy. This makes finding the appropriate balance between understanding your own aims, inclinations, gifts and talents and the securing the capacity and position in terms of social stature, to express these aims, inclinations, gifts and talents, a very difficult (and sometimes, live long) pursuit. Gaga is an inspiration to all of us because, she achieved what we want, to express our own inner talents, to be ourselves in the world. And then, she made all this possible via her own talent, will and determination but also through having a clear vision for what she wanted to achieve for all of you... and it was a sense of her own, that made it all possible, even in face of doubt and uncertainty. This is what can be learned, the ability to stand...

i agree with you. i see nothing wrong with dressing up like you were gaga, since that might be road to finding yourself. i've been thinking sometimes adding some gagaism to me and in some way i feel like i'm small town girl who's looking for a way to find myself. imho i see this as phrase where you still test waters before you actually find the right one.

i never really thought about it that way so thank you for opening my eyes cuz now i see what ur saying and ur right i do sometimes doing stff cuz maybe Gaga does and i will realize tht i prob wouldnt do it normally but i did it cuz Gaga so thank you for posting this!!!!!! everyone needs to c this cuz maybe they r like me n doesnt realize it yet

OMG, dear Jesus! Celeste, you have made such a philosophical moment. Your paragraph is exactly what I think. Individualism is the greatest gift of mankind. It's like we don't want everyone to be nursing medication aide nor a construction worker who doesn't mind looking down 80 stories. We all make a difference, because we are all different. Yet, the different parts just like the pieces of a puzzle come together to unite into a community just like this web site. Thanks for the great posting. I hope more fans will visit it and comment. Additionally, I hope that they understand how deeply you have taken us-- to a good place! Cyberspace hugs to you! Pawzzzz up!
