ARTPOP means...

ARTPOP - the cultural phenomenon between two ultimate forces from the ancient and modern worlds. A way to combine the imaginary arts and sounds of two amazing eras that have shaped humanity. ART - what we can see. POP - what we can hear. Both of these combined create a loud and explicit visual for today's generation. ARTPOP.

Technically that doesn't work because music is art too. This probably doesn't matter though. I think Andy Warhol coined the term first.

It has been staight infront of us the whole time. The fact we post pics and sketches on our site is the art, and we love her pop music. Its the fusion of two wonderfull unique things, and we must remember, it ain POPART, coz we know thats totally different. ARTPOP certainanly means something, and Gaga is trying to achieve something! She said on twitter "remember to capitalise my new album/project" so, she mentioned project. She tryed to stop bullying and thought us to love ourselves, it worked. She is definatly trying to revolutionise the whole entertainment and music industry. Personally, I think its to open peoples minds and artistically achieve our goals, through her beautifull music; which is pop. ARTPOP!

I really appreciate your input on the definition of ArtPop. I really think each person has their own vision. I don't view it as an ancient and modern worlds in collision. If the art is ancient, it would be timeless. Rather than a hydrogen bomb fusion, I see Artpop as complementary to each other. One takes the best qualities of each and merge them together. The possibilities are endless and timeless. I, personally view Ms Gaga as a prodigy Mozart fused with Tony Bennett and the artistry of a Monet infused with Picaso. She is so very intelligent, spontaneous, creative, futuristic, and never ending energy of mind, body, and spirit. She's just at the corner of her "painting" with every stroke that she paints which are ever so small, she is fusing the work of masters of many facets of art and pop. It's like the difference between Brown Eyes and Poker Face. Like the difference in her fashionista nuance. At least, this is the way I view Artpop. She has not given it a particular definition as she is encouraging her fans to explore their creativity. When she sees it, she will know it immediately. AND it will be a winner, because of her multi talented persona.

Gaga is always talking about art … I wonder who here favorite visual artist are and if the whole ArtPop thing carries any references to Andy Warhol and his whole movement :D :D :D I’m so excited Gaga’s music is amazing and she’s so visual like a walking sculpture/ performance art !!!
