I feel like my mom is making me hold back from being myself?

I don't know why. I just have a lot of problems with her. It's a long story... She doesn't allow me to do many things. She also has no idea what I do on the internet, & I'm afraid if she found out she'd be really mad. I feel like she doesn't really know who I am :( Anyone have any problems like this? She thinks she knows me but the truth is that she doesn't..

Perhaps you could say to your mom "I want to tell you something that has been bothering me" or just tell her "I feell ____ about ____". She might be so used to talking about behaviours and could use a little nudge to notice where you are at. Don't feel bad about who you are!

I felt, and still feel, the exact same way with my mother. We were never very close; she didn't take the time to get to know me, and she never really cared. My parents got divorced a couple of years ago, so now I live with my father and only see her occasionally. I know I can't change my mother, and I've accepted it. Some things just aren't the way you want them to be, but you have to make the best out of it. Take it from me, it will get better (:

thats exactly how my mother and i were, but then i finally moved out and we had our space and now we get along like nothing ever happened. Don't worry Monster it'll all change just give it time.
