Writing is a talent too!

Hello, Monsters, I need to say this; you see, I have no talent in drawing or painting, but rather writing (many people do too, actually). I am currently in writing courses, learning how to create consistent articles and creative pieces, so I just wanted to say this; my teacher asked me to test my abilities by writing some short stories/texts related to any topic, just to prove that I’ve been learning well. I am completely lost as in what to write about, so I thought that maybe you would be able to help me, as you are the most supportive fan-base there is in the world. All ideas are welcome and I’m sorry this post isn’t precisely about Lady Gaga, but I would really appreciate some opinions and suggestions. If you decide to help me, some good information to provide me with would be: the setting, characters, situations and any extra stuff. Please keep all suggestions age-appropriate, as I am underage. Finally, I intend no copyright inflictions, thanks.

My advice: Just sit down and think of (for example) a single word. Let’s say “courage” then try to write about it. Don’t be afraid to describe your personal feelings or opinions. Or how I do it more often: I sit and let myself fall into a situation. For example a winter landscape with a skeletal tree with a single crow and endless white snow fields. I try to get deep inside the situation, smell the snow, hear the croaky cry of the crows, the cracking of the snow under my feet, smell the crisp cold air – it has a distinct smell – feeling how it hurts in my nose, see my “foggy” breath when I exhale etc. etc. Good writing is about IMAGINATION! And when you have written your text, go through it – several times. Find better, more suiting or more precise words and – extremely important – always reduce, never expand. Meaning stay simple in your message and don’t use too many ideas or adjectives to describe. Ok?

I absolutely agree with you. And that is why I posted a little poem 15 minutes ago. It’s called: LITTLE MONSTERS PRAYER Don’t tell me / How to be and what to do /Just stop / And I’ll be there for you

Maybe an emotion. Hope? Fear? Anger? Or maybe you could write an article that has something to do with bullying.

I'm a fellow writer too! An I idea could be of the 40s and 50s? Maybe a situation where thinking a car won't work but turns out that there weren't ever any keys in the ignition? I don't know, it's something I'd think of for a short story (: Hope that I helped ! (:
