When I was 12 and Lady Gaga first hit the scene in 2008, I never would have thought this woman would have had such a big impact on my life in the ways she has. She has helped me through many insecurities, and always puts me in a fantastic mood the minute I listen to her music or watch videos that feature her in them. Long story short, Gaga has given me the strength to be myself, freeing me from sadness. She has given me the opportunity to have a second family, consisting of all the little monsters, which many I'm very close friends with and couldn't imagine life without them. Gaga finally came to Melbourne for the artRAVE, and on August 24th, I was lucky enough to have Gaga pick the vest I made for her off the stage, read my letter out to the crowd, and ask me to come meet her backstage after the show just before she performed Dope. I was so happy when she read my letter because finally I was able to thank her for everything, and tell her that I love her. After 6 whole years, my dreams came true and I was able to meet my idol, and personally thank her for everything. I love you so much Gaga, you mean the world to me.
